The Cloud is an incomplete painting of atmospheric space

A collection of fragments, each piece contains an image of cloud developing. Pieces are exhibited autonomously through a changing group of temporary hosts. The painting aims to occupy a vast space of unfixed dimensions – existing in a state of partial obscurity – geographically dispersed yet interrelated.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Nine fragments of a painting were momentarily installed in different museums in the Val d’Anniviers during the summer of 2023. A photographic document of each intervention was made by the artist. This edition was co-produced with ALTER- 2023.

PROPOSITION
The Painting in Residence Programme is imagined as a long-duration project with local and international scope. Fragments of an epic painting will be in residence at different locations simultaneously. The project activates the space between the parts to generate conversations around display, connectivity, and encounter. The fragments circulate independently, at various speeds, creating new relations and forms over time.
