A journey into experiential temporalities

To remember we stand on a planet in motion. To develop a sensorial relation to the planetary systems that sustain us involves a human re-orientation toward natural phenomena. If our existence is shaped by the cyclical rhythms of the Earth, then our engagement with the lived-time of a world in flux means to accept impermanence. We stand on a planet in motion – we are moving and we are moved.

The paintings, prints, drawings and models in this volume are a response to the pull of the Earth and the sensation of sunlight. Durational objects are made to hold memory – human sensing, natural processes, the deep-time of the Earth and the lived-time of attention. Through a contemporary experience of ancient planetary events, the ecological restoration of the human ‘being’ is explored.
