This collection of works, made between 2007-2023, examine the inconsistency and frailty of memory. Jackson’s archive of paintings, works on paper and studio objects contain the traces of enigmatic phenomena and transient ambiguity. At the heart of this enquiry is a question – what are we holding on to? For Jackson, it is as much in the physicality of an observed experience as the residue of a temporal event. The work reveals the passing of time as a situated and embedded practice, reimagining moments that once were. .
